Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls at Universal Islands of Adventure in Orlando is a fast and fun water ride that you WILL get wet riding. Honestly? You'll probably get SOAKED.
Notably, it's also one of the only flume rides of its kind with a lap bar restraint. If you visited before 2007, however, you might remember it being more traditional log ride seating (aka no lap bar).
So why the change? Well, one might be nervous it's because people were falling out of the attraction, but it's quite the opposite. It's apparently because too many guests were purposefully JUMPING out of the ride!
When the attraction would slow down, guests would risk getting in trouble (and serious injury) by stepping out of the flume to try and exit. For obvious reasons, the park did what they could to prevent jumpers, but ultimately decided the best way would be to add the restraints.
This attraction is also notable for it's Easter Eggs or "winks" at Disney.
There's a parody of the Mr. Toad's WIld Ride train scene, a parody of Pirates of the Caribbean jail scene, and posters in the queue that parody famous Disney and Star Wars films. Can you spot them all?
